Working closely with the Head Chef, youll help bring each menu to life through skill, precision, and creativity. What Youll Do Prepare; cook, and plate dishes for events, retreats, and banquets of all sizes. Support the Head Chef in setting up and executing outdoor functions, plated dinners, and buffet service. Ensure every dish leaves the kitchen beautifully presented, on time, and at the highest standard. Work across multiple venues and setups, maintaining smooth service flow under pressure. Uphold impeccable hygiene, food-safety, and quality-control standards. Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and creative event concepts. Assist with prep lists, stock rotation, and mise en place to keep the kitchen running efficiently. Requirements South African citizen or valid work permit. Minimum 3 years experience in hotel, lodge, or event catering environments. Solid background in banqueting; functions, or large-scale plated service . Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and pride in presentation. A genuine passion for food, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences.
