About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our luxury safari lodge’s kitchen team in Tanzania. As a key member of our 5-star hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest dining experiences and maintaining the highest kitchen standards within a renowned luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including guest and staff meals
- Create seasonal, high-quality menus inspired by fresh produce and luxury lodge dining
- Ensure exceptional presentation and consistency across all dishes
- Lead; train, and mentor the kitchen team
- Maintain strong stock control, ordering, and food cost management
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and kitchen standards are consistently upheld
- Build strong guest relationships and accommodate dietary requirements with care
- Work closely with lodge management and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Proactively manage kitchen equipment maintenance and operational efficiency
Requirements
Formal culinary qualification
Minimum 2 years management experience in a luxury hospitality environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Passion for food, hospitality, and guest experience
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Creative; hands-on, and highly motivated personality
