Johannesburg: IT Support Specialist

About the Role

As an IT Support Specialist in our Johannesburg office, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality IT support services to our internal users. You will be responsible for maintaining cloud environments, ensuring systems are secure, stable, and efficient, and gaining exposure to cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity tools, and enterprise-grade technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line IT support to internal users (hardware, software, and cloud-based systems)
  • Manage and support Azure Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Intune environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows Server and Linux systems
  • Support and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services
  • Monitor systems, alerts, backups, and overall environment health
  • Assist with user access management , permissions, and security controls
  • Support email security and endpoint protection platforms (e.g. Mimecast and Defender)
  • Assist with SharePoint administration and user access

Requirements

  • 0-2 years’ experience in an IT support / systems support role
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (AD)
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune
  • Solid troubleshooting and user support skills
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments and networking

Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Network
  • CompTIA Security
  • Preferred certifications include Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and LAPS, SharePoint, Jira, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint / Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel or SOC
