Job Title: Field Guide NQF 2

Location:

Eastern Cape, Cacadu District, Graaff-Reinet

Job Duties:

• Lead guided tours of natural environments, historical sites, and cultural landmarks
• Provide informative and engaging commentary to guests during tours
• Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants
• Identify and interpret flora, fauna, and local wildlife
• Maintain and enhance the natural environment for sustainable tourism
• Assist with logistical and administrative tasks related to tours

Required Qualifications:

• Field Guide NQF 2 qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• First Aid certification

Education:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working as a field guide or in a related role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of local history, culture, and wildlife
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in English and any additional languages is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications:

• Field Guide NQF 4 or higher qualification
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry

Working Conditions:

• Live in role that will be 6 weeks on 2 weeks off
• Prefered candidate would be form the Eastern Cape
