Front of House / Assistant Manager | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger

Salary: Negotiable DOE
Live-in Position

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a versatile and experienced Front of House / Assistant Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional to support lodge operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and relieve the Lodge Manager when required.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, ordering, and basic accounting, while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Lodge Manager with all aspects of lodge operations
Oversee front of house activities, ensuring a seamless guest experience
Manage housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge maintenance as required
Support ordering, stock control, and basic accounting tasks
Act as the Managers deputy, relieving them during leave periods
Ensure compliance with lodge operational standards and guest service expectations
Motivate and manage staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Address guest queries, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally
Participate in training and development of lodge staff
Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements:

Proven experience in lodge operations, hospitality management, or a similar role
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Ability to work independently and make operational decisions
Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge procedures
Basic accounting and administrative skills
Flexibility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude, reliable, and guest service-oriented
Available to work on a 3/1 week cycle
Immediate availability preferred, ideally from 1 April
