About the Role
Safari JOBS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join a busy, 5-star safari lodge in the Greater Kruger region of Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will be confident, guest-focused, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in a luxury safari environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily front of house duties – office admin related work, check in and out of guests etc
- Secondary – Hosting of Guests in the evening, on a rotational basis, oversee of housekeeping & allocation of tasks, room checks
- Curio shop sales and stocks, monthly stock takes of housekeeping and curio departments
- Assistance in helping with bush events such as drinks set up etc
- Confidently communicate telephonically and with email, also when interacting with guests at the lodge
Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- Excellent employment track record references will be checked
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Matric certificate
- Valid drivers licence
- Previous front of house experience
- Excellent administrative skills
- Excellent computer skills using various Microsoft packages – word and excel and outlook
Qualifications
- Worked in a lodge environment previously
- Experience with Res Request
- Own transport
Salary & Benefits
Gross salary: Approximately R13,000.00 to R18,000.00 per month (negotiable)
Accommodation & Working Hours
- Accommodation: Private room en-site, basic furnishings
- Meals provided
- Uniform and laundry thereof
- Gratuities – Part of the lodge general staff tip pool
- Work / leave cycle: 6 weeks on 2 weeks off plus 21 annual leave days
Note
This is an unfortunate non-expat/family/pet friendly position. Candidates must be open to completing police clearance and polygraph-type assessments, should these be required, during the hiring process.
