About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager Couple or a seasoned General Manager to lead our prestigious luxury lodge in Welgevonden, South Africa. As a leader in the hospitality industry, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality
- Lead, manage, and develop lodge staff to deliver consistently excellent guest experiences
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Maintain strong relationships with guests, stakeholders, and suppliers
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and standards across all departments
- Support marketing and guest engagement initiatives to maximise occupancy and revenue
- Drive staff training, development, and performance management initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Lodge Manager within a luxury lodge or 5-star hospitality environment
- Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent financial management and operational knowledge
- Exceptional guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote lodge environment
Qualifications
- Relevant hospitality qualifications and experience in safari or remote lodge operations (advantageous)
Salary & Benefits
