About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Guest Experience Lead to join our Wine Estate & Hotel team in Stellenbosch/Brackenfell. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure, while also assisting fellow colleagues across departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and introduce guests
  • Check-in and check-out guests
  • Pass all relevant guest information on to various departments as required
  • Assist guests with bookings, tours, and transfers, building and creating guest itineraries
  • Ensure that all guest information and rates are correct
  • Act as a liaison for outside guests and assist the restaurant when needed
  • Update guest profiles
  • Report to the manager on duty regarding any related maintenance concerns
  • Assist reservations with lodge guests bookings and messages
  • Assist Spa, Housekeeping, and onsite restaurant
  • Book, track, and charge transfers
  • Manage guest relations as acting manager on duty

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Hospitality Certificate / Diploma
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role at a 5* property
  • Strong computer and administration skills
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal in English
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with all departments and across cultures and religions
  • Comfortable dealing with distinguished clientele
  • Friendly, helpful, and outgoing
  • Natural warmth and friendliness
