About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead a kitchen team in a luxury restaurant located in the Winelands, Western Cape. As a passionate culinary professional, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a refined hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all kitchen operations
- Lead, train and supervise the kitchen team
- Develop and maintain high-quality menus in line with the restaurant’s concept
- Ensure consistency, quality and presentation of all dishes
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
- Maintain strict food hygiene and health and safety standards
- Control kitchen costs and work within budget requirements
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
- Collaborate with management to enhance the overall guest dining experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within a luxury restaurant or fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for high-quality cuisine
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Valid drivers licence required
