About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Housekeeper to join our team at a 4* hotel near Muldersdrift. As the supervisor of our Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, cost control, and operational efficiency of all areas under your control. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Housekeeping Department by ensuring cleanliness, cost control, and the control of operational equipment.
- Conduct room checks, including white glove checks, to ensure high standards of service.
- Manage staff according to company policies and procedures, including discipline and training.
- Ensure the prescribed company standards are maintained in all areas of responsibility.
- Control and coordinate the work of all staff, analyzing occupancy and allocating staff accordingly.
- Maintain operational equipment and work utensils in good working order.
- Source and contact potential and existing clients to develop and maintain relationships with the Hotel.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety measures are in place and checklists are completed monthly.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- Hospitality Management Diploma (optional)
- Minimum of 8 years experience as a Housekeeper, having worked up through the ranks.
- Currently employed as a Head Housekeeper at a 4* property with more than 50 bedrooms.
- Good work ethic and ability to work in a team to achieve a common goal.
