About the Role
Our prestige client is seeking an IM Business Analyst that would be accountable for guiding the clarification of the business requirements, through in-work collaboration with the business stakeholders, and working within the agile team to ensure these are delivered effectively end-to-end. They will provide a more comprehensive view of the features within an epic, the functionality required to implement it, and the benefits it delivers to business. The IM Business Analyst have a broader end-to-end understanding of the epic / project, can work across multiple agile teams and product owners, and really own the process from start to finish, while getting involved at a technical level of implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interviews end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance
- Analyse business processes and system requirements
- Document detailed business requirement specifications
- Understand existing systems and all interdependencies (AS-IS analysis)
- Works with architects to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Understanding functional and technical system specifications in order to be able to identify business solutions, opportunities and system limitations
- System testing & implementation
- Helps identify and assess potential data sources
- Recommends appropriate scope of requirements
- Validates that data warehouse meets requirements and service level agreements
- Coordinates prototype reviews
- Pro-active operational and technical problem identification and solutions
- Interfacing with the other Business Analysts and acting as liaison between BI and the Business users as well as external Vendors
- Identifying system, process and business problems and inconsistencies, recommending changes
- Document standard operational rules and procedures (i.e. processes)
- Assist/participate in the compilation of test cases.
Requirements
- 7+ years BA/System Analysis experience
- 4+ years BA experience in data warehousing and or BI projects
- Experience in all phases of the system development life cycle
- Experience in project reporting
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Informatics Experience
