About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Stikland, South Africa. As a key member of our finance function, you will work closely with the Director, Procurement Team, and Outsourced Accounting Firm to ensure seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Director, Procurement Team and Outsourced Accounting Firm
- Bookkeeping Support: Capture day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system
- Bank, Creditor and Debtor Reconciliations: Maintain strong reconciliation discipline for bank, AR, AP, VAT, and payroll reconciliations
- Financial & General Administration: Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks and maintain organised and up-to-date financial records
- Payments & Banking (Support Function): Assist with the preparation and loading of payments on our banking platform
- Invoices & Accounts Administration: Receive, sort, allocate and file supplier invoices and credit notes, capture invoice information accurately into the accounting system
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years hands-on bookkeeping experience in small to medium-sized business environments
- Strong experience in dynamic, fast-paced operational businesses
- Experience owning the full bookkeeping function (not just transactional capture)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational skills
