Job Summary
Minimum
Requirements:
Grade 12 A relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture 3 years of relevant practical and technical knowledge related to table grape cultivation Thorough knowledge of fertilization and irrigation practices. Experience in ultra-low flow systems will be advantageous The applicant must have the potential to grow and develop into a fully-fledged Production Manager in the future, should an opportunity arise Ability to work under pressure and apply rational decision-making Good interpersonal relationships and above-average communication skills at all levels Thorough knowledge of all cultivation practices related to table grapes Computer literate Valid drivers license
Duties:
The applicant will report to the Unit Manager and will be responsible for managing a 90-hectare production unit, which includes all aspects of establishment, production, labor, packhouse, and quality management Maintenance management and farm administration Disease and pest control Fertilization & Irrigation (Pump house and electronic systems) Cold storage management Harvesting of citrus in the off-season Consultant: Marezel Kotze – Dante Personnel Cape Town
