Job Summary
Our client in Alberton is looking for a Commercial Lawyer. We are looking for someone to fulfil the role on a 1 year contract basis, the following would be the qualifications and experience to consider:
- Law degree from a reputable university
- Licensed to practice law in their country (“qualified”)
- Minimum 5 years of Post Qualification experience in Commercial law (PQE)
- At least 3 years of experience with a law firm….area of practice should include commercial law
- Ideally, but not necessarily, experience with a multinational company as in-house counsel
Overview of responsibilities:
- Proactively supporting legal operations for all business units or sub business units and/or professional functions of Henkel operations in SSA
- Providing legal counselling and advice
- Managing the preparation or review of the contracts
- Managing external disputes and litigation
- And all other legal support
Territory:
- Based at Henkel office in S. Africa
- Above responsibilities for SSA, namely S. Africa, Kenya and Nigeria
