About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with customers, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize the movement of goods through the supply chain, manage inventory levels, order fulfillment, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key point of contact for customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Optimize the movement of goods through the supply chain
- Manage inventory levels, order fulfillment, and customer service
- Supervise employees, monitor performance, and handle any issues or escalations that may arise
- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department
- Plan and coordinate logistics processes to maximize efficiency
- Actively participate in maintaining ISO certification
- Monthly reporting of logistics metrics and updating of various documents
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Monitor adherence to production requirements
Requirements
Relevant Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering. Relevant bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and related fields (ideal). At least 5 years relevant Logistics/Supply Chain experience in a Supervisory role or similar position in Automotive Manufacturing or Manufacturing-related field.
