About the Role
BevCo is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure optimal functioning of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, and optimize PM tasks in line with OEM standards and internal best practices
- Plan and schedule inspections, lubrication calibration, and condition-based tasks to ensure equipment reliability
- Ensure that preventative plans are reviewed and updated periodically based on equipment performance
- Convert maintenance notifications into work orders with clear scope, required materials, and labour estimates
- Schedule daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance plans in coordination with the production and maintenance teams
- Allocate tasks based on artisan availability and skill set, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Ensure all materials, tools, and spare parts are available before scheduled maintenance begins
- Collaborate with engineering stores and technical administrator to expedite procurement or issue parts
- Track consumption of critical spares and maintain minimum stock levels through system updates
- Ensure procured materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies
Requirements
- Skills in maintenance planning and scheduling (preventative, corrective and predictive)
- Knowledge of plant maintenance module relevant to CMMS
- Experience with equipment master data management
- Ability to create job cards and coordinate resources
- Understanding of parts, tools, and resource availability planning
- Maintenance performance reporting and continuous improvement skills
Qualifications
- Minimum N6/National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Up to 4 years’ experience (Operational Execution) Planning in FMCG environment
- Experience with CMMS and maintenance best practices
- Background in asset care, reliability-centred maintenance
- Working knowledge of production and maintenance integration

- Ensure maintenance activities comply with local safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA)
- Support root cause (RCA) and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives through historical data and KPIs
Team Leadership and Support
- Manage documentation, maintain records, and work ordering processing
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanical staff
- Provide training and development to ensure team skill levels remain high
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations
General Operational and Financial Management
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets
- Track and control maintenance expenses
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvement
- Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
