Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join a luxury game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring an exceptional culinary experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce a range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standard

• Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality across all dishes

• Develop new recipes and menu items in line with guest expectations and seasonal produce

• Ensure all food hygiene and safety regulations are strictly followed

• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently

• Assist with planning and organising pastry production schedules

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a pastry chef, preferably in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment

• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert preparation

• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

• Passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences
