About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced painter to join our team at Greys Recruitment. As a recognized trade tested painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring all work meets quality standards and client expectations. With 3-5 years of post-trade experience, we are looking for someone who can work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming
Apply paint, varnish, sealers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Read and interpret job instructions, drawings, or specifications
Mix and match paints to the required colours and finishes
Repair damaged surfaces such as cracks, peeling paint, or plaster defects
Ensure all work meets quality standards and client expectations
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Comply with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations at all times

Requirements

Qualified Painter with a recognised Trade Test Certificate
Minimum 3–5 years’ post-trade experience as a Painter
Strong knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques
Ability to work at heights and in various environments
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Physically fit and able to meet job demands
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work under pressure
