About the Role
A highly respected luxury safari lodge operation located in a spectacular remote wilderness area in Uganda – East Africa is seeking a passionate and experienced Lodge Management Couple to lead the daily operations of a well-established safari lodge and camp. This role is ideally suited to a dynamic couple with strong hospitality backgrounds who are comfortable living and working in a remote environment and who are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, strong operational leadership, and high standards of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional hosting throughout the guest journey
- Manage guest arrivals, orientations, and departures
- Ensure highly personalized and memorable safari experiences
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery when necessary
- Coordinate special events, bush dining, and celebration experiences
- Lead, motivate, and develop the lodge team
- Oversee staff scheduling and departmental coordination
- Conduct staff training and mentorship programs
- Foster a positive and professional team culture
- Manage day-to-day lodge operations across all departments
- Maintain operational reporting and administrative systems
- Oversee stock control, procurement, and logistics
- Monitor occupancy levels and forward bookings
- Ensure high culinary and service standards
- Coordinate menu planning and guest dietary requirements
- Monitor beverage stock and bar operations
- Ensure lodge facilities and equipment are maintained to high standards
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs
- Monitor power systems, water supply, and operational equipment
- Manage operational budgets and expenditure
- Maintain accurate financial reporting
- Ensure effective stock and purchasing controls
- Promote responsible tourism and conservation awareness
- Ensure environmentally sustainable operational practices
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a well-rounded hospitality couple with strong leadership ability and a passion for safari lodge operations.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing or assisting in the management of a luxury lodge, camp, or remote hospitality property
- Strong guest relations and hosting capabilities
- Staff leadership and training experience
- Administrative and financial management competency
- Ability to live and work in a remote wilderness environment

Remuneration & Benefits
- Net Monthly Salary: USD $4,000 – $4,500 / ZAR 60,000.00 – ZAR 70,000.00 (Negotiable depending on experience)
- Statutory Contributions:
- PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax paid by the company
- Applicable Local Service Tax paid by the company
- Accommodation & Living:
- Fully furnished and serviced accommodation provided

- Localised medical cover provided
- Uniform & Laundry:

- Equipment & Communication:
- Company-issued mobile phone with business airtime and data

- Annual Travel Benefit:
- One annual return air ticket upon completion of each 12-month service period
- Air tickets are non-transferable and must be utilized within six (6) months of the service anniversary
