Job Description

Hospitality and Outdoor New Vacancy – Resort General Manager 4* Luxury Resort Drakensberg, KZN Iconic luxury resort in the Drakensberg is looking for their new General Manager to drive revenue and reach new heights! Experience in a similar role is a must to cope in this fast paced environment. EE candidates will be given preference. Requirements A business degree, hotel or hospitality management qualification is essential Have a minimum of 10 years hospitality experience, of which at least 5 years should have been at a senior operations management level. Strong financial acumen- Able to complete the full daily financial function- reports, budgets, debtors, creditors, forecasts, etc Strong leadership skills with critical attention to detail in standards Excellent overall knowledge in hotel operations- F&B, Housekeeping, FOH etc Experience in Sales and Marketing- Can drive a creative concept forward and market on all relevant platforms Experience in Health and Safety Compliance and can manage the full function of the HR department with legislation compliance to BCEA, LRA and the EE act Hands on, leads from the front type. Valid drivers license Only South African citizens and foreign Nationals with Valid work permits for South Africa will be considered Key Responsibilities Ensures the smooth running of the hotel, where all areas of the business are managed and the guest service experience is delivered to the highest levels Working proactively with all key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution. Develops and implements strategies where key hotel metrics are identified, communicated and delivered Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms Strong communication skills Package on offer Salary: R55 000 CTC very neg D.O.E Accommodation with company benefits Starting Date: Feb/March 2026
