Job Description
– Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing or Hospitality Management
– Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry
– Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
– Strong understanding of the travel trade, corporate and group segments
– Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
– Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
– Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively
– Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as required
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Business Development
– Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy aligned with business goals
– Identify new market opportunities and build a strong client base
– Drive revenue across corporate, leisure, group and MICE segments
– Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings and presentations
Client Relationship Management
– Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agents and partners
– Manage existing accounts while actively sourcing new business
– Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
Revenue and Performance Management
– Work closely with revenue and reservations teams to maximise occupancy and rates
– Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategies
– Track performance against targets and provide regular reporting
Collaboration and Internal Alignment
– Liaise with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of client expectations
– Work closely with marketing to align campaigns and sales initiatives
– Ensure clear communication between departments for group and event business
Administration and Reporting
– Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
– Prepare sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates
– Ensure all contracts and agreements are managed efficiently
