KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• 10+ years mining operations experience, with at least 5 years in underground mining
• Proven track record leading operational transformation or performance improvement programmes
• Deep understanding of underground mining production systems, development, and support functions
• Experience implementing structured management routines and performance management systems
• Strong knowledge of mining safety systems and safety culture development
• Experience working with contractor/Business Partner operating models
• Demonstrated ability to drive change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Fit for site medical and fitness required.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with African mining operations, particularly copper mining
• Familiarity with room-and-pillar or similar underground mining methods
• Previous work in turnaround or ramp-up scenarios
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with Business Partner/contractor management models

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Mine Manager’s Certificate or equivalent senior mining qualification
• Safety leadership certification

CONTRACT & PACKAGE DETAILS

Location: Zambia
Project Duration: 6 Months (Jan – Jun 2026)
Rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
Remuneration:
