Job Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Factory Manager. A large manufacturing concern and part of a listed group, leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Snr Factory Manager. Minimum Engineering degree required (Electrical; Chemical; Mechanical or Metallurgical) You will be expected to work hand-in-hand with the CEO of the organization to ensure optimal productivity. Seeking an energetic, goal & career-orientated individual. Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Metallurgy required. A solid traceable career history is required. R1m – R1.7m) Profit share 0.75% EBIT BU 0.25 EBIT from 7 Factories (r0.0 – R2.5m) Company vehicle of choice, fuel, insurance (R800k) 50% Medical Aid – Discovery Pension/Provident/Disability Company cell phone of choice fully paid Long Term Retention incentive schemes KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support CEO in operational management and team development of the factory Excellent maintenance skills required Recruitment, training, and development of personnel Asset preservation through the development, implementation, and management of effective systems Develop and implement best practices in all areas of the factory Being a credible leader that develops and guides operational teams and individuals in achieving targets Driving continuous improvements and waste elimination to reduce costs and improve quality Product development to ensure sustained fashionable and value-for-money product ranges Project management of capital projects Development of new products and technology Financial control of factory costs Safety and risk management in terms of legislation Sourcing of new local and international suppliers Identification and development of future leaders in the business Ensure the factory is focused on agreed key performance indicators KEY STRENGTHS / ABILITIES Able to work autonomously Must be energetic, active, and a go-getter Manage growth and change in a professional and entrepreneurial manner Adaptive and creative to meet targets Developing and leading teams and individuals toward common long-term objectives and short-term goals Hands-on and results-driven Focused on customer and business needs Tenacious on goal delivery Elevated level of attention to detail Analytical and detail-oriented problem solver Ability to notice opportunities Challenge established practices to evaluate the validity Engineering and project management skills to drive and deliver continuous improvement Strong work ethic Strategic and big picture thinker Emotional intelligence and robustness, diplomatic MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Metallurgist) or equivalent. Previous Millwright / Electrical Qualification will be advantageous but not a necessity. Excellent Managerial Skills Min 10 years solid & traceable track record in a similar position.
