Job Description
- Manage Weighbridge, Loaders, Stockpiles and Transport Contractors
- Manage transportation logistics for inbound and outbound coal shipments
- Coordinate transport providers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Reconciliations of stock and load weights and off load weights, trips, and paperwork
- Working knowledge of SAP and Excel
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of coal stockpiles
- Ensure stockpiles are managed efficiently to prevent loss, degradation, and contamination
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to coal handling
- Implement procedures to minimize dust emissions, fire hazards, and environmental impacts
- Conduct safety audits and training programs for logistics personnel
- Develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies
- Monitor loading/unloading times, and overall operational efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize theft
- Negotiate contracts with transport providers and third-party logistics companies
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the coal, mining, or bulk material handling sector
- Strong knowledge of coal handling, transportation methods, and storage best practices
- Experience with SAP is preferred
- Familiarity with industry regulations, including environmental and safety compliance
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
