Hoedspruit | Remote considered for highly experienced candidates R40 000 R45 000 per month The Opportunity This is a senior-level role suited to a safari professional who thrives across sales, operations, guest experience and detail-driven execution. You will take ownership of the full client journey from first enquiry through itinerary design, booking, travel support and post-trip follow-up ensuring every interaction is seamless and every experience exceeds expectations. You”ll also contribute to improving internal processes, supporting consultants and strengthening supplier partnerships. Key Responsibilities Sales & Itinerary Design Convert enquiries into high-value, tailor-made safari itineraries Design creative, detailed travel plans covering accommodation, flights, transfers, activities and logistics Build visually engaging proposals using itinerary software Close bookings within agreed turnaround times Operational Accuracy & Systems Maintain precise records across reservations, spreadsheets and guest documentation Follow established SOPs and ensure booking accuracy at all stages Confirm all logistics prior to travel and coordinate personalised guest touches Release provisional bookings timeously to maintain supplier trust Guest Experience Ownership Communicate with guests throughout their journey with professionalism and warmth Provide support to travelling guests as part of a 24/7 duty roster (including weekends/public holidays) Manage post-travel follow-ups, feedback and review requests Team & Process Contribution Support and guide consultants to strengthen service delivery Assist with onboarding and knowledge-sharing Step in to manage consultant inboxes when team members are unavailable Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems and efficiency Supplier Partnerships Maintain strong relationships with lodges, DMCs, airlines and transfer providers Negotiate effectively and nurture long-term supplier partnerships What We”re Looking For We”re seeking a seasoned safari professional who combines commercial instinct with operational precision. You”ll likely bring: Several years experience in senior safari consulting or luxury travel design Proven success converting enquiries into high-value bookings Strong reservations system and workflow expertise Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability Established supplier relationships within the safari industry Ability to manage multiple complex itineraries simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills A proactive, calm, solutions-driven approach Genuine passion for safari travel and guest experience Ideal for someone who wants more ownership, more influence and the opportunity to shape how a luxury safari business delivers world-class travel experiences.
