Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in structural design, with leadership and project management skills.
- Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).
Beneficial requirements:
- Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000); advanced proficiency preferred for senior roles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork and continuous improvement.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed structural designs and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations using advanced software to ensure the integrity and functionality of designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and project managers, to integrate structural designs with overall project goals.
- Manage project workflows, including documentation, revisions, and approvals, with senior engineers overseeing more complex tasks and mentoring junior engineers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
