South Africa: Site Accountant posted by Fempower Personnel

A reputable mining operation based in Sikhwahlane, Mpumalanga is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Site Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with strong cost accounting expertise to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced mining environment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Reconcile diesel usage and monitor consumption
• Analyze raw material and final product data
• Investigate production figure anomalies and variances
• Assist with production forecasting and reporting
• Manage inventory reconciliation and control
• Prepare cost and management reports
• Support operational teams with financial analysis and reporting
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Participate in cost-saving initiatives and BEE compliance reporting
• Assist in procurement processes as required

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent
• Progress toward a CIMA qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting
• Experience with Accpac (highly desirable)
• Background in procurement processes will be advantageous
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency is mandatory
• Fluent in English (preferred)
• Valid drivers license and own transport (preferred)
• Clear criminal record
• Medically fit to perform duties (as per Mine Health and Safety regulations)
