NEW Marketing Vacancy Cape Town (Hybrid, Travel Required) ? ? Social Media Content Manager Luxury Hospitality Group (Boutique Hotels & Lodges) Live-out | Salary: R30,000 R40,000 Gross (DOE) ? Cape Town-based candidates preferred Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a creative, organised, and brand-driven Social Media Content Manager for a luxury hospitality group. This is a hybrid role requiring a strong Cape Town base, with weekly office days split between Cape Town and the Cape Winelands, plus regular on-site property visits. Work Structure & Location 23 days per week in Cape Town (Camps Bay area office) 1 day per week in Stellenbosch office Regular working days from various properties (Franschhoek, Sea Point, and others) Travel twice a year to Eastern Cape properties Team typically carpools from Cape Town to Stellenbosch, however the candidate must be able to travel reliably and independently when needed Role Overview This role is responsible for creating and managing high-quality social content that reflects a luxury hospitality standard, drives engagement, and supports commercial goals. You will work closely with marketing leadership and property teams to capture content, tell compelling brand stories, and maintain consistent online presence across multiple properties. Key Responsibilities Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant channels Capture and curate high-end photo and video content on property, including guest experience, food, rooms, staff, and lifestyle elements Develop content calendars aligned to campaigns, seasonality, and occupancy drivers Write strong luxury-aligned copy with clear brand tone and attention to detail Manage community engagement, replies, DMs, and reputation support in a professional manner Coordinate with on-property teams to ensure content opportunities are identified and executed Work with designers or manage basic design requirements in-house where needed Track performance metrics and report on engagement, growth, and campaign effectiveness Ensure consistent brand standards across all property pages and content outputs Support occasional influencer hosting, collaborations, and content partnerships where relevant Requirements Proven social media and content creation experience within luxury hospitality essential Social media or marketing qualification preferred Strong understanding of social media best practice, trends, and performance analytics Solid digital skills including content scheduling tools and Meta Business Suite experience Reasonable graphic and digital capability (basic design, formatting, reels editing, and content optimisation) Excellent communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail Well organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple properties and priorities Must be based in Cape Town or within an easy commute Must be willing and able to travel regularly to properties, including twice-yearly Eastern Cape trips Package Salary: R30,000 R40,000 Gross (depending on experience) Live-out role Hybrid working structure with regular property-based content days To Apply Please submit your CV, portfolio or examples of relevant luxury hospitality social media work, contactable references, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
