South Africa: Temporary Senior Debt Collection Administrator (3-6 months) posted by Indian Ocean Export Company

Location: RSA (Remote).

Working Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 RSA time, with a one-hour lunch break.

Duration: 3 to 6 months, depending on performance

Job Overview:

APEX is seeking 2-4 experienced Senior Debt Collection Administrators to join our team immediately. These are temporary roles designed for professionals who excel in debtors management and collections, and who can hit the ground running without a notice period. The successful contractors will work remotely, engaging directly with customers to recover overdue accounts and escalate issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue accounts
• Log and document collection activities accurately
• Send statements and follow up on payment commitments
• Escalate complex issues appropriately
• Work diligently to meet daily KPIs and deadlines
• Take ownership of assigned accounts, ensuring timely resolution
• Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Excellent communication skills: Friendly, professional, and articulate when speaking with customers
• Proven experience: Extensive, successful background in senior debtors management and collectionsno interns, trainees, or junior clerks
• Organized and responsive: Capable of working accurately, neatly, and efficiently under pressure
• Customer-focused: Skilled in active listening, identifying issues, and following through on actions to close queries
• Self-starter: Able to work independently with a sense of urgency and ownership
