Trails Guide to join one of Africas most exclusive private safari properties, located within the iconic Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. This position offers the privilege of guiding within one of South Africas most celebrated wildlife regions, renowned globally for its exceptional Big Five encounters, thriving leopard population, and intimate off-road viewing experiences. The successful candidate will combine strong field expertise with a refined, guest-centric approach, confidently hosting international travellers accustomed to the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Each drive and walking experience is approached with professionalism, composure, and authenticity, balancing safety, conservation awareness, and meaningful engagement with the natural environment. Assistant Head Guide / Head Guide experience Computer literate word, excel, outlook; ??? ????? ??????????????, ?????????? ????????? / ???????? ??? ????? ?????????? ???? ?? ?? ?? ????, ?? ?? ??? ??????? ??????? ?? ???????, ?? ????? ?? ????? ??? ???? ???????. ????????? (??? ??? ??????????) Already reside in the Mpumalanga / Greater Kruger area; Own vehicle; SAPS rifle competency; Qualification in nature conservation or similar; Photography skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail. Deliver engaging, educational, enjoyable Big 5 safari experiences via safari vehicle and by leading bush walks; Maintain a positive, professional guiding culture aligned with lodge values; Maintain strong safety awareness and ethical wildlife viewing; Uphold all reserve protocols, including sightings etiquette and off road policies; Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and environmental checks; Maintain rifles, radios, safety & guiding equipment to legal and operational standards; Maintain warm, attentive strong guideguest relationships; Support special occasions, private dinners, and unique guest requests; Potentially accompany guests from and to the airstrip & / to off-site activities; Vehicle checks, cleanliness, and maintenance reporting; Participate in reserve activities such as fence checks, road maintenance, and conservation projects; Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks; ??????? ?? ?????? ???? ??? ???? ???? ?? ??? ????? ???????????????? and would only be required on rare occasions, and typically only upon specific guest request. ?? ???????? ?? ??? ????? Oversee vehicle checks, cleanliness and maintenance reporting; Mentor and support junior guides and field staff; Ensure that all licences, documents and other related admin info pertaining to guides and the safari department are up to date; Ordering and maintenance of stock relating to all guide activities; Collection and distribution of content for social media etc. ???????????? / ??????? / ???? ????? A highly negotiable gross salary is offered NEG. DOE & qualifications – Please advise your gross salary expectation within your application; Participation in the staff gratuity pool; Complimentary live in accommodation: Own private room and bathroom; Utilities including free Wi-Fi, water, electricity etc; Basic staff meals when on duty/cycle; Uniform including shoes; Laundry facilities Work Cycle: 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
