Job Description

Job Title: Vault Officer Location: Nelspruit Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time hours Job Duties: Managing and overseeing the security of the vault Monitoring and controlling access to the vault Maintaining accurate records of all items entering and leaving the vault Ensuring compliance with security protocols and procedures Responding to alarms and security breaches Coordinating with security personnel and management Required Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Possession of a Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent. Security Qualifications: Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration. Valid PSIRA Cash-in-Transit (CIT) training certificate. Firearm Competency: Valid Firearm Competency Certificate for a Handgun with business purposes endorsement. Financial Standing: No adverse credit record. Legal Standing: No criminal record. Business Affiliation: May not be currently registered as a director of any company or business. Health: Must be medically fit for the demanding nature of the role. Experience: Previous experience in security or related field Knowledge and Skills: Computer literate Knowledge of security procedures and protocols Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure Strong problem-solving abilities Working Conditions: The role of Vault Officer involves working in a secure environment, often in confined spaces. The job may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy objects. The officer may need to work shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure 24/7 security coverage of the vault.
