About the Role
Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright to join our team in Soweto. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our production and packaging equipment. You will work closely with our production teams to identify and repair electrical and mechanical faults, ensure compliance with safety standards, and provide technical support and training where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production, packing, and site equipment.
- Maintain and upgrade electrical panels, wiring, sensors, and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on beverage production lines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and packaging equipment.
- Perform mechanical adjustments and replacements to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical and mechanical systems.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure all installations meet safety, performance, and operational standards.
- Adhere to all OHS Act regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and installations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and motor control.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems in beverage production environments.
- Registered Millwright.
- Relevant N3/N4 qualification or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5–10 years experience in a beverage or FMCG production environment.
- Experience with automated production lines and packaging machinery.
Qualifications
- Completed N3/N4 qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
