Job Summary:Our client, an established automotive business based in Soweto, is seeking a dedicated Preper to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting panel beaters by preparing vehicles for repair, ensuring smooth workflow and the delivery of high-quality results.Key
Responsibilities:
1. Disassemble and prepare vehicles*: Remove trim, moldings, and other components to access damaged areas.2. Clean and degrease surfaces: Prepare surfaces for repair by cleaning and degreasing.3. Sand and file surfaces: Smooth out surfaces to prepare for repair.4. Assist panel beaters: Support panel beaters in their work, providing assistance as needed.5. Maintain a safe and organized workspace: Ensure the workspace is clean, tidy, and free from hazards.Educational Qualifications:1. National Certificate in Automotive Body Repair: or equivalent qualification.2. Panel Beating Apprenticeship*: or equivalent experience.Skills and Attributes:1. Basic knowledge of panel beating: Understanding of panel beating principles and techniques.2. Manual dexterity: Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.3. Attention to detail: Careful and meticulous in preparation work.4. Ability to work in a team: Supportive and collaborative in a fast-paced workshop environment.5.
