Stanger, KZN | Permanent A well-established automotive manufacturing environment is seeking a detail-driven Fixed Asset Controller to take full ownership of fixed asset management across the business. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong manufacturing exposure who enjoys working with large asset bases, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong financial controls. You will work closely with finance, engineering, and project teams to ensure all assets are accurately recorded, tracked, and reported in line with accounting standards and internal policies. Key Responsibilities -Fixed Asset Register Management -Maintain and manage the full fixed asset register for tangible and intangible assets -Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers and impairments accurately -Asset Verification & Audits -Coordinate and conduct physical asset verifications across sites -Support internal and external audits relating to fixed assets -Capitalisation, Depreciation & Amortisation -Ensure correct capitalisation of assets in line with accounting policies -Calculate and process monthly depreciation and amortisation -Asset Reporting & Analysis -Prepare fixed asset reports and financial analysis for management -Provide insights into asset utilisation and financial impact -Compliance & Policy -Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements -Assist in strengthening asset management policies and internal controls -Business Case & Project Support -Support the preparation of business cases for capital expenditure, including DCF analysis -Work with project teams to track project-related assets -AIS Claims -Manage and submit AIS claims, including supporting documentation -Provide support during AIS audits -Process Improvement -Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes, controls and reporting -Stakeholder Engagement -Act as the key contact for asset-related queries across the business -Provide guidance to operational teams on asset management procedures Minimum Requirements -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field -Minimum 5 years’ finance experience within manufacturing -Automotive industry exposure advantageous -Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, capitalisation and depreciation -Experience supporting audits and financial reporting Personal Profile You are likely someone who: -Is highly analytical and detail-oriented -Has strong financial controls and accounting knowledge -Communicates confidently with both finance and operational teams -Is self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment -Handles confidential financial information with professionalism Permanent role based in Stanger Please submit your CV if you meet the above requirements.
