Job Description
An established investment holding company with a strong focus on agricultural-related businesses is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its growing team. The group holds equity stakes in a diverse portfolio of agricultural operations, including intensive farming ventures such as dairy farming, feedlots, and abattoirs.
The organisation operates within a robust corporate environment, upholding high standards of governance, transparent reporting, and operational support across its subsidiaries. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial management, reporting, and compliance across the investment portfolio, contributing to the long-term growth and value of the group.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting.

Support operational and management reporting.

Calculate, track, and monitor capital expenditure (Capex) projects.

Manage overdrafts, loans, and external debt facilities.

Oversee intercompany and shareholder loan accounts.

Compile Annual Financial Statements.

Coordinate tax planning activities and review VAT submissions.
-
Perform statutory and company secretarial annual duties.

Maintain and update group structures and organograms.
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 4 years relevant accounting experience.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Articles or experience within a small audit or accounting practice will be advantageous.

SAIPA or SAICA registration is not required.

Strong MS Excel and MS Office proficiency.
