Retail Assistant

Location: Stellenbosch | Property: Luxury Wine Estate | Salary: R12,000 R15,000 | DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will provide high-class customer service and contribute to the growth and revenue of the retail operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain control of stock within the area of responsibility

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience

• Assist clients in finding products and provide styling advice where relevant

• Process cash and card payments accurately

• Stock shelves and ensure the store is tidy and well-presented

• Report discrepancies, issues, and customer feedback to management

• Balance cash register with receipts and manage customer refunds

• Attach price tags to merchandise and manage stock deliveries

• Work within established brand guidelines and standards

• Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification

• Preferably 12 years experience as a retail assistant

• Basic administrative skills

• Proficient in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and customer service focus

• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

• Enthusiastic, reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
