About the Role
Join our team at Craven Cottage CC as a Field Guide on our Timbavati reserve, where you will have the opportunity to share your passion for wildlife and conservation with guests from around the world. As a Field Guide, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their safari adventure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting guided safaris
- Ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests throughout their safari experience
- Hosting guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing informative and engaging insights
- Facilitating guest transfers to and from safari destination when required
- Creating compelling content for social media platforms
- All other basic duties on the reserve and in the lodge.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum FGASA Level 1 / 2
- At least 2+ years’ experience in a similar 5* environment
- DEAT registration
- CATHSSETA registration
- First Aid Level 1 certification
- Rifle Competency for wildlife management and guest safety
- Valid Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
