Job Summary
Hire Resolves client in the civil engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Lead Civil Engineer in Umhlanga.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Engineers and Technicians on design construction and civil engineering projects to ensure efficient project execution.
- Verify work for accuracy, proper methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications aligned with BMK QMS.
- Develop frameworks and processes to manage business risks in daily operations.
- Drive innovation and efficiency improvements to optimize processes.
- Manage all project stages from inception layouts to close-out engineering designs.
- Perform quality control checks.
- Provide technical advice on project feasibility, cost, and timelines.
- Set project milestones, communicate status updates, and address any setbacks.
- Submit reports on project performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering.
- At least 12 years experience in a similar role within a Consulting Engineering firm.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and processes.
- PrEng/PrTechEng certification is advantageous.
- Experience with Civil 3D and Project Management is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
