About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Umhlanga Rocks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple property development projects across eThekwini, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee approximately five concurrent property development projects across eThekwini
- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows
- Conduct cost planning, estimating, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, adjudication, and contract administration
- Coordinate and manage contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders across multiple workstreams
- Track project progress against programme timelines and address any delays or risks
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health & safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and cost control
- Prepare and present regular project and financial reports to senior management
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- 510 years relevant experience within property development or construction
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of contract administration (e.g., JBCC)
- Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and cost management software
- Excellent financial acumen and commercial awareness
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
