Head Guide Luxury Safari Lodge Vaalwater
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Guide to lead and mentor a team of field guides at a luxury safari lodge in Vaalwater. This live-in role requires a professional who can deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring safe and high-quality guiding operations and supporting conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of field guides, fostering skills development and high performance
Conduct game drives, bush walks, and interpretive activities for guests
Oversee vehicle and workshop operations, ensuring safety and maintenance standards
Coordinate incidents and respond to operational challenges effectively
Train and support junior guides to maintain consistent quality and service
Minimum Requirements:
FGASA Level 2 & Trails Guide (essential)
ARH & Rifle Proficiency, First Aid Level 2, Drivers License & Pr-DP
Previous experience as Assistant Head Guide or Head Guide
Strong leadership, training, and people management skills
Exceptional attention to detail, guest-focused, proactive, and reliable
Salary: Negotiable DOE
