About the Role
Midvaal Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creditors Clerk to join our client’s team in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large creditors book of 200+ suppliers with a monthly book value of approximately R30 million. This role requires strong financial accuracy, excellent reconciliation skills, and experience managing high-volume supplier accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and pay a creditors book of 200+ suppliers, with a monthly book value of approximately R30 million
- Handle procurement card administration, including monthly reconciliations
- Perform fleet account reconciliations and ensure all supporting documentation is correct and complete
- Process and manage petty cash, including balancing and monthly controls
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations, analysing and resolving variances
- Work effectively in a stock environment and complete supplier reconciliation processes
- Load and process payments immediately and accurately
- Follow up on queries and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare creditor analysis reports and balance them to supplier statements
- Report directly to the Financial Manager
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Proven experience managing a 200+ supplier book valued at R30 million monthly
- Strong procurement card reconciliation experience
- Experience with fleet account reconciliations
- Proficient in petty cash control and balancing
- Strong general ledger reconciliation skills
- Solid MS Office proficiency (especially Excel)
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
