About the Role
Time Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes, while also providing administrative support to our HR activities. If you have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for precision, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of payroll for 50 staff (wages & salaries), with a growing staff compliment
- Oversee the payroll cycle, ensuring timely, accurate payments and compliance with all statutory requirements
- Perform accurate reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, tenant deposit payouts, and salary control accounts to ensure consistency
- Support daily HR activities, including maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with onboarding, and managing leave administration
- Provide vital administrative assistance to the finance team, including data entry and tenant invoicing
Requirements
- Bookkeeping or similar finance qualification (certificate, diploma or degree)
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, dynamic team
- Sound knowledge of HR and payroll regulations
- Strong numerical skills
