About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction/Contract Site Agent to join our team at African Water Utilities in the Western Cape region. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day site operations
  • Coordinate site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications
  • Assist with project planning and scheduling
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved
  • Report delays and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Address defects or non-compliant work
  • Enforce health and safety regulations on site
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Monitor project costs and resource usage
  • Assist with budgeting and cost tracking
  • Manage materials and minimize waste
  • Maintain site records, reports, and logs
  • Prepare progress reports for project managers
  • Record incidents, inspections, and site activities

Requirements
