Job Description
– Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics and/or accounting as subjects
– Estimating experience: minimum 3 – 5 years
– Relevant Degree or Diploma (Advantageous)
– Proficient Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office Suite, Coreldraw, AutoCad (Beneficial), Odoo System ADV.
(Preferred Signage Estimation Experience)
Responsibilities:
– Estimate cost, material, and labour for projects, after meticulous analysis of project specifications and documentation.
– Computes costs by analyzing Labour, material and time requirements.
– Assist with the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
– Track changes to the design and/or installation work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
– Procure or agree on the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project – calculate & provide outwork allowables.
– Select and/or source construction materials – for optimum production methods.
– Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
– Engage and manage sub-contractor and internal team expenses (i.e., up country trips).
Skill Set Requirements:
– Mathematical Proficiency.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Be financially savvy.
– Good understanding of quality control principles.
– Good communication skills (verbal and written).
– A good working knowledge of MS Excel
– Ability to fully understand and read technical drawings.
– Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
– The ability to work in a team & independently.
– Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and Externally.
– Thoroughness and reliability.
– Follow instructions.
– Positive attitude and excellent attendance record.
– Flexibility to adapt to changes.
