As a Field Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing service of cutting-edge battery solutions for industrial clients across Cape Town. From installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and optimization, your expertise will be instrumental in driving our mission of providing reliable and efficient energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Installation
    • Install industrial battery solutions at client sites according to specifications and safety standards.
  2. Maintenance and Inspection:
    • Perform routine maintenance checks on industrial battery systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
    • Conduct detailed inspections to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
  3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues 
    • Implement timely and effective repairs to resolve issues and minimize downtime for clients.
  4. Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Monitor the performance of industrial battery systems
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  5. Client Support and Training:
    • Provide comprehensive technical support to clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Offer training and guidance to clients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial battery solutions.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and client interactions.
    • Generate detailed reports documenting findings, recommendations, and actions taken during service visits.
  7. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures when working with industrial battery systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Promote a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation among team members and clients.
  8. Continuous Learning and Development:
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in industrial battery technology through ongoing training and professional development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to share knowledge and insights, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  9. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, sales representatives, and project managers, to deliver seamless solutions and exceptional service to clients.
    • Communicate proactively and coordinate resources as needed to address client needs and project requirements.
  10. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with clients through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling or recommending additional services to meet the evolving needs of clients and drive business growth.

Requirements

  1. Education: Grade 12 non-negotiable. Tertiary Education in related field. 
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial battery systems maintenance and repair (Industrial Lithium Batteries)
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in industrial battery systems.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  5. Travel Requirements: Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel in western cape area as you will be predominantly on the road.
  6. Overtime: Must be open to working afterhours and/or weekends to service clients needs and/or attend to emergency concerns.

Salary:

  • R13 500 – R17 000 Cost to Company
  • Company Car and cellphone allowance
