About the Role
Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial functions, including cash flow management, payroll processing, and compliance with tax and audit regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review employment offers and contracts
- Review monthly payroll
- Recommend the most tax-efficient remuneration structures for staff
- Update and manage cash flow forecasts
- Compile VAT returns and VAT calculations
- Assist with accounting entries as required
- Oversee and manage SARB approvals
- Prepare and manage annual budgets
- Manage and finalise the audit and AFS process
- Oversee and review accounts payable and receivable
- Calculate and manage transfer pricing
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Prepare quarterly operations reports on financial and operational performance
- Supervise banking functions
- Perform income tax calculations and estimates
- Ensure all statutory compliance
- Manage stock control and stock reconciliations
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis
- Manage treasury function
Requirements
- Strong financial acumen and analytical ability
- Excellent organisational and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and departments
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of compliance, tax, and audit processes
- Ability to manage multiple complex responsibilities simultaneously
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting or higher qualification
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles (advantageous)
