A well-established small accounting firm (team of 6) based in Tokai, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town, is looking for a Financial Statements Drafting Accountant OR A Bookkeeper to join their team. This firm focuses on Financial Statement Drafting, Compilations, and Reviews no audits.

Candidates must be located near the Southern Suburbs (Tokai and surrounding areas).

Position Option 1: Financial Statements Drafting Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing Financial Statements, Compilations, and Reviews for a diverse client base (700 SME & individual profiles).
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Assisting in financial analysis and providing insights where needed.
• Collaborating closely with a small, professional team to meet client deadlines.

Requirements:

• SAIPA background (NOT SAICA).
• Completed SAIPA articles OR recently registered as a PA(SA).
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and compilations.
• Experience working in a small accounting or consulting firm (big firm experience wont be a fit).
• Must be located near the Southern Suburbs (candidates from the Northern Suburbs will not be considered).
• Ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced team.

? Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
? Location: Fully office-based in Tokai, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.
Start Date: ASAP or earliest availability.

Position Option 2: Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function within a small firm.
• Processing transactions, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Assisting with VAT, tax submissions, and financial reporting.
• Supporting the accounting team in day-to-day financial tasks.

Requirements:

• Matric and relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting software.
• Previous experience in a small accounting or consulting firm (big firm experience wont be a fit).
• Must be based near the Southern Suburbs (Tokai and surrounding areas).
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple client accounts.
