Job Description
Ensuring proper accounting treatment for acquisitions, disposals, and transfers
Calculating and recording depreciation and amortization in accordance with accounting standards
Conducting regular asset reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Coordinating and executing annual or periodic physical asset verification
Implementing and enforcing internal controls over assets to mitigate risk
Supporting financial oversight of new store builds, remodels, and capital projects
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for asset management processes
Translating FP&A insights into actionable operational strategies
Skills & Experience:
Minimum3–5 years’ experience in asset accounting or commercial finance
Strong understanding of IFRS and fixed asset accounting principles
Experience working with ERP systems such as Business Central, SAP, Oracle (or similar)
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Prior experience in a multi-unit or multi-entity business environment (advantageous)
Qualification:
BCom Accounting or similar + SAICA
