About the Role
To take hands-on responsibility for payroll administration while providing structured support to the HR Manager and team, Helderberg Personnel is seeking a highly accurate and deadline-driven individual who can work with urgency, follow processes, and take initiative in resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing payroll inputs including hours, overtime, deductions, and leave
- Capturing, reconciling, and verifying wage sheets (Excel) before submission
- Managing time and attendance data with a high level of accuracy
- Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies proactively
- Assisting with statutory submissions (EMP201, EMP501, ETI) and payroll reporting
- Ensuring all payroll information is accurate, checked, and submitted within strict deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in payroll administration (essential)
- Proven experience working on a payroll system (non-negotiable)
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, reconciliation, data accuracy)
- Sound knowledge of payroll processes and basic labour legislation
- High attention to detail with the ability to self-review work before submission
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
