? Key Responsibilities:

Operational Accounting & Reporting

• Manage accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions in line with IFRS.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and variance analysis.
• Prepare insightful management reports and dashboards.
• Maintain financial records and reconciliations.

Internal Controls & Process Implementation

• Identify and address weaknesses in financial processes and controls.
• Document workflows and accounting processes with clear accountability.
• Design and implement tailored control enhancements.
• Conduct risk reviews and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain SOPs and workflows for accounting and operational cycles.

Regulatory & Tax Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Support year-end audits with audit file preparation and direct auditor engagement.
• Conduct credit risk reviews and monitor customer exposure and collections.

Operational Efficiency & Team Support

• Standardize accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Mentor and train team members to strengthen execution discipline.
• Introduce dashboard reporting and process automation.

Health & Safety

• Participate in safety forums and training.
• Report safety incidents and comply with safety protocols.
• Wear protective clothing where applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

• CA(SA), registered with SAICA.
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in finance/accounting.
• Proven experience in internal control implementation, audit preparation, and process documentation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
• Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or product-based industries preferred.
